Help us change the culture.
Rape culture is defined as stereotyped, false beliefs about rape that justify sexual aggression and trivialize the seriousness of sexual violence. Some examples include asking a victim what they were wearing or what they had been drinking. In other words, blaming the victim for the crime instead of holding the perpetrator accountable.
This pyramid, created by the 11th Principle: Consent! shows how if behaviors at the bottom of the pyramid are not stopped, the misogynistic language, objectification of women, and glamorization of sexual violence will continue.
